Jace Lasek is co-owner of Breakglass Studios and co-founder of the band The Besnard Lakes. An accomplished vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Jace has a kind and compassionate demeanour in his work relations and always strives to create an atmosphere where the artist(s) feel uninhibited in bringing their vision to fruition. He’s worked with Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Land of Talk, Stars, Wolf Parade, Suuns, Patrick Watson, Barr Brothers, Sunset Rubdown/Moonface, and The Besnard Lakes, and composed soundtracks for TV and film. Jace also has an art school background; he graduated from Emily Carr School of Art and Design where he studied Photography. He brings this multi-disciplinary, conceptual and experimental approach with him in his work as a musician, songwriter, engineer, mixer and producer.
